Golf 1.8T AWW turbo transplant in AWD
motor
We'll it's no longer a mystery that the
AWW motor comes with the same intake impeller as the sportier K04.
What the the true power differences? No need to ponder
anymore. Here's the dyno results to show the difference!
With all other mods being exactly the same, this beta-chipped AWD
car with a K03-53 transplant instantly made 10 more peak HP and an
steady 15-17 HP gain above 5200 RPM! Nice of VW not to tell
the public of the turbo upgrade between years. This particular
car managed to make close to a corrected 220 crank HP and a serious
255 or so ft-lbs of torque. That's quite incredible for a 1.8
L engine!
