Tuning results
The data used to generate the graph below was performed over
2 years’ time at Sears Point International Raceway and taken directly
off of the track’s computer generated timesheets.
The runs were performed by DynoSpot Racing sponsored driver, Lynn
Tan. Lynn literally drove all
28 runs from start to finish. All
runs are included. Nothing
was omitted (although Lynn sure would had loved it if we discarded some of
her slower runs, chuckle). This
graph is a clear example of how dyno-testing and careful development and
tuning produces power that works! Lynn’s
best stock time in the quarter-mile was 15.8 seconds @ 91.5 MPH.
This run was performed before the car was touched.
The book time for the car being analyzed is approximately 15.6
seconds @ 91 MPH, so, she is pretty close here.
Now, this is something that any performance enthusiast car can
appreciate. At the present
day, DynoSpot Racing has tuned the car to run a best of 14.83 seconds @ a
mind blowing 95.2 MPH! This
spectacular run was performed at Lynn’s most recent outing, which leads
to another great point! Notice
how her times show a trend of continuous improvement.
This is the goal that we are all trying to achieve.
Power that really works! Lynn
is looking to hit the mid-14’s soon.
By the way, the car has never been stripped and is still running
the original set of “hockey pucks” (stock tires) the car came
with when new. Computer
simulation programs designed to calculate HP using quarter mile times
estimate that this car is putting down an additional 30 “real”
horsepower. Truly incredible!
This data will
hopefully explain how we do things and why.
I hope that you will enjoy what you see
.
DynoSpot Racing would like to thank Lynn for her
hard efforts at the drags!
